First Look: Davidoff Lounge Phnom Penh

A new premium cigar venue has quietly opened inside The Peak Mall, just north of Phnom Penh’s Shangri-La Hotel. Davidoff Lounge blends retail, private lounges, and upscale dining under one roof—tucked in a part of the city often referred to as the Chinese district, and just steps from NagaWorld and the bridge to Diamond Island.
Though still under quiet rollout, the layout and concept are already drawing attention among Phnom Penh’s early cigar regulars.

What We Saw
The space is split across two levels:
- On the ground floor, a retail cigar display anchors the front entrance. Behind it is a private room, seating 4–5, designed for trade or educational discussions—and usable for smoking as needed.
- A separate entrance leads to the upper level, which includes a main smoking area that seats up to 12 guests, along with three private rooms (4–5 guests each), adjacent to the Omakase dining section. These rooms are also compact (4–5 guests each) but offer more space, faster food and beverage service, and better restroom access.
Décor is understated. There’s no loud branding or flashy signage. It feels more like a well-kept insiders’ club than a destination lounge—purpose-built for quiet enjoyment or business meetings.

AAA
Cigar Notes
Cigars are selected by the guest from the display. The humidor includes a rotating range of Davidoff selections, rare editions, and collectible boxes. Guests handle their own cigars; cutters and lighters are provided, but staff do not assist with lighting.
Cutting Fee: A $20 BYO fee per person applies, but it's waived with $20 minimum spend on food and drink per guest—for now.
Food and Beverage
The ground-floor restaurant, Sushi Ryukou, operates under the same ownership. It serves Japanese izakaya-style fare in a casual dining format. Upstairs, a quieter Omakase setting accompanies the private rooms, with ingredients flown in from Japan via Singapore.
Closing Thoughts
Davidoff Lounge offers a discreet new option for cigar smokers in Phnom Penh’s CBD—combining privacy, Japanese dining, and a respected cigar program. While public visibility is still limited, a full review may follow once operations are fully underway.
